Welcome to SCL Season 10

Now that the winter meetings have concluded, the 2021 season of the SCL has officially begun. This will be the TENTH season of this league and it's good to have everyone back once again.

Paul is our defending champion... Mike Trout is on a new team... we have a new league logo... and we should, maybe could have another full season of baseball (Lord willing!).

New rules for 2021:

- Change ESPN rosters from 28 to 27 and track all prospects on the keeper tab of the spreadsheet. Prospect players have to be drafted to qualify. If someone picks up someone else's prospect player during the season, the penalty is that they have to drop the player and just lose that pickup for the week. This will start immediately, with our draft this year

- You can draft and acquire as many prospects as you want during the season, but can only keep 2 at the keeper deadline.

- Starting in 2022, we will keep Top Tier Keepers in Rounds 3 and 4 as opposed to the current set up of keeping in Rounds 1 and 2

Dates:

- Keeper date is Monday March 1 at 9pm EST / 7pm MST

- Draft is Wednesday March 3 at 8:39pm EST / 6:30pm MST

Stats Quo:

- $50 buy-in. Send Paypal to jmahler47@gmail.com.

- $350 to the winner, $100 to 2nd place and $50 to 3rd place

- 17 week season, 2 weeks for the semis, 2 weeks for the championship

- Top two division winners get in as the #1 and #2 seeds. #3 and #4 seeds determined by most points for. #1 seed gets to pick who he plays in the semis.

- Please visit the "Settings" page on the ESPN website for scoring and league set up

- Please visit the "Voting" tab on our league spreadsheet to refresh yourself on any rules/settings.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Play ball!

Epic X Week 10 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley 1. Ian (Last week #1) Chooooo chooooo! All aboard. This train keeps on rolling. The highest scoring team in the league this week. Other teams have gone "all in" to win in years past, but this may be the best we have seen in recent years. Ian was at a crossroads. Throwing caution to the wind he was one of the first teams to "buy" to try and make a run. And boy is he running. The questionable starting of Tua over Ben didn't even matter (-21 points). The McCaffery injury didn't matter (will he get healthy in time for the Epic X playoffs?). Ekeler is still on IR and no Chargers running back has grabbed that role. He will be a beast when he returns. Julio Jones and Jamison Crowder were on bye weeks. It didn't matter. Even with the lucky Valdes-Scantling pickup (30 points), take that away, he still wins this week. Ian is deep and talented. This is the clear cut #1 team in the league this year and it's going to be hard to knock him down from...

Epic X Week 12 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley Note: These rankings are being released late this week because A: there is a game being played right now. On a Wednesday afternoon. Crazy. B: On Sunday I got sick and tested positive for COVID. It’s been like the flu for me. Life and work have been a lot to navigate - but I am feeling better today. If you need me, I’m quarantined until Dec. 9. You know where I am.   #1 Paul (Last week #1) Paul only scored the 4th highest amount of team points this week. This is the scoring week that his fellow playoff contenders want to see. Good. But not great. Paul is going to have to land on on a lineup. Does Montgomery sit? Is Thomas a must start without a passing QB at the helm in New Orleans?? Make no mistake. Wilson didn’t have to do much versus the Eagles. Rest up buddy. Phipps is going to need you. Too much talent, had an off week and still won, this team is still the best in the league.  #2 Chad (Last week #4) You can’t score 200 points and not move up. 200 point...

Welcome to Triple Crown Fantasy Sports

A bunch of us have been playing fantasy sports together for damn near the past decade. I sent out a survey back in the fall just to make sure everyone is still having fun - seems like we are. I'm ready to take it all to the next level. Paul has always referred to the leagues that I started - Rebound League for basketball, the Epic X for football, and the Senior Circuit League (SCL) for baseball - as the "Josh Leagues." I get it, but it's time for something more official. Welcome to Triple Crown Fantasy Sports. Moving forward, this site will be the place where I post weekly league recaps, news, updates, and maybe even start writing more. Here's the other thing we are launching today: The Triple Crown Fantasy Sports Hall of Fame. I've been looking for more/better ways to incentivize everyone who plays in any of our leagues. Hell, I've been looking for new ways to incentivize myself. Essentially there are 4 stats we're looking at to gain H...
