Epic X Week 12 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley

Note: These rankings are being released late this week because A: there is a game being played right now. On a Wednesday afternoon. Crazy. B: On Sunday I got sick and tested positive for COVID. It’s been like the flu for me. Life and work have been a lot to navigate - but I am feeling better today. If you need me, I’m quarantined until Dec. 9. You know where I am.

#1 Paul (Last week #1)
Paul only scored the 4th highest amount of team points this week. This is the scoring week that his fellow playoff contenders want to see. Good. But not great. Paul is going to have to land on on a lineup. Does Montgomery sit? Is Thomas a must start without a passing QB at the helm in New Orleans?? Make no mistake. Wilson didn’t have to do much versus the Eagles. Rest up buddy. Phipps is going to need you. Too much talent, had an off week and still won, this team is still the best in the league.

#2 Chad (Last week #4)
You can’t score 200 points and not move up. 200 point weeks are historic. They are rare. Tip of the cap this week to Chad’s squad! With his win this week, coupled with an Ian loss, puts Chad in the fight for the division lead. These last couple of weeks someone has lit a fire under Chad. Interesting enough Kamra and Hunt were relatively quiet. Everyone else showed up big time. They were pumped up. Speaking of pumping up, kiss Fuller good bye for pumping up with an illegal substance. That hurts. Chad boys have been putting up some big scores recently, who fills Fullers void going forward??

#3 Isai (Last week #3)
Tyreek Hill. 60 points from a wide receiver. What a day!! What’s more surprising? D. Carr getting a zero. Isai is in a battle with Josh and needs Benny to put 12 more points on the board to get the victory..but with the 3rd highest scoring team of the week already locked up, even with a loss, Isai stays strong at #3. COVID wrecked this team this week and they still managed to come up big. Yea, and may have been mostly Tyreek, but no matter, he f’n showed up.

#4 Ian (Last week #2)
61 points total team points as of this ranking. Is Ian’s ride done? Have the injuries (Julio, CMC,) caught up to him and are gonna be too much to handle? Ekeler with a 14 was a nice sight. This team has bought SOME leeway..but if he puts up another suck job like this week..Ian will be dropping out of the playoffs.

#5 Tyler (Last week #5)
Metcalf and Jefferson nice. Everyone else ehhhhh. Murray with a 7. Tyler still got the win. This makes Chad, Ian, and Tyler all at 7-5. Pretty freaking cool going into the last week of the season!!!

#6 Josh (Last week #7)
DeShaun Watson is going to need a restraining order. Josh is infatuated and so he should be. Robinson also invited Josh back to the VIP room this week. I didn’t think anyone could beat a Tyreek Hill fantasy team this week, Josh may just do that. Josh with the chance to hold onto the second highest team score this week and has earned the right to be called the best of the rest, non-playoff, and has hit sight set on the draft picks playoffs.

#7 Jonathan (Last week #8)
Jonathan with a winning streak!! Rodgers and Drake carried him this week. With a team score of 120+ he moves up in the rankings. This is the most movement Jonathan’s team has experienced all year, in any capacity.

#8 Chris (Last week #7)
Lots of “no-shows” this week and he still bags a 92. Chris should be good enough to avoid IMO.

#9 Frankie (Last week #9)
Stinks.

#10 Kevin (Last week #10)
Stinks too.

Enjoy the second half of Wednesday Afternoon Football!!!!!!!!

Epic X Week 10 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley 1. Ian (Last week #1) Chooooo chooooo! All aboard. This train keeps on rolling. The highest scoring team in the league this week. Other teams have gone "all in" to win in years past, but this may be the best we have seen in recent years. Ian was at a crossroads. Throwing caution to the wind he was one of the first teams to "buy" to try and make a run. And boy is he running. The questionable starting of Tua over Ben didn't even matter (-21 points). The McCaffery injury didn't matter (will he get healthy in time for the Epic X playoffs?). Ekeler is still on IR and no Chargers running back has grabbed that role. He will be a beast when he returns. Julio Jones and Jamison Crowder were on bye weeks. It didn't matter. Even with the lucky Valdes-Scantling pickup (30 points), take that away, he still wins this week. Ian is deep and talented. This is the clear cut #1 team in the league this year and it's going to be hard to knock him down from...

Season 1 of the Hand Sanitizer Fantasy Hockey League

Even though there has been 3 seasons of the Hand Sanitizer fantasy hockey league so far, 2021 will be it's first as an official Triple Crown League. Hall of Fame WILL count towards winning percentage, division champions and league champions. Incredibly, out of all of our fantasy leagues, this is the first that will consist of 12 teams (three divisions of four teams each). Very impressed with the interest and turnout for a startup hockey league. Here are some league details going into the season: SCORING SETUP H2H Most Categories See league page for details Goals are tiebreaker ROSTERS 22 players 17 starters 5 bench PLAYOFFS 6 Teams 1st and 2nd seed get a bye 3 plays 6 4 plays 5 #1 seed gets to pick who they play 1,2,3 are division winner DRAFT PICK PLAYOFFS 6 Teams 6th and 7th seeds get a bye 3 plays 6 4 plays 5 #6 gets to pick who they play in the 2nd round TRADE DEADLINE March 19, 2021 ROSTER MOVEMENT Daily - Lock at individual game times 4 pickups per week Waiver Order - move to...
