Rebound League Activated for Season 9

Can't believe it, but we are entering Season NINE of Rebound League fantasy basketball.

 NEW THIS SEASON:

- We welcome back Chad, Chris, and Ian, which gets us back to 10 owners.

- We welcome Jonathan to his first ever season of fantasy basketball as he will be teaming up with Ian.

- Going back to 10 owners forces some changes to our lineup: We will now have 13 player rosters (15 last year), still with 4 IR spots.

- Starting lineup will now consist of 2 PG, 2 SG, 2 SF, 2 PF, 4 C (and 1 bench spot).

- With dropping down in roster size, we now have a 38 game max each week instead of 40.

- 13 week season (you play your division twice and the other division once) will happen from December 22nd through March 28th

- 2 weeks each for Semifinals (3/29 - 4/11) and Finals (4/12 - 4/25)

- Trade Deadline is March 12th

- New Divisions this year as drafted by last year's top record holders, Kevin and Phi:

Jackie Moon Division
Kevin
Frankie
Chad
Isai
Chris

Jimmy Chitwood Division
Phil
Ian
EZ
Josh
Phil

- Finally, since we are back to 2 divisions, we will be changing who gets in the playoffs again. Just like baseball:

#1 Division Winner with best record (gets to chose who they play in the semis)
#2 Other Division Winner
#3 Most Points
#4 Most Points

STATUS QUO FROM LAST YEAR:

- $25 league fee, winner take all (send money via PayPal to jmahler47@gmail.com)

- Scoring remains the same

- Auction draft with $200 budget

Epic X Week 10 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley 1. Ian (Last week #1) Chooooo chooooo! All aboard. This train keeps on rolling. The highest scoring team in the league this week. Other teams have gone "all in" to win in years past, but this may be the best we have seen in recent years. Ian was at a crossroads. Throwing caution to the wind he was one of the first teams to "buy" to try and make a run. And boy is he running. The questionable starting of Tua over Ben didn't even matter (-21 points). The McCaffery injury didn't matter (will he get healthy in time for the Epic X playoffs?). Ekeler is still on IR and no Chargers running back has grabbed that role. He will be a beast when he returns. Julio Jones and Jamison Crowder were on bye weeks. It didn't matter. Even with the lucky Valdes-Scantling pickup (30 points), take that away, he still wins this week. Ian is deep and talented. This is the clear cut #1 team in the league this year and it's going to be hard to knock him down from...

Epic X Week 12 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley Note: These rankings are being released late this week because A: there is a game being played right now. On a Wednesday afternoon. Crazy. B: On Sunday I got sick and tested positive for COVID. It’s been like the flu for me. Life and work have been a lot to navigate - but I am feeling better today. If you need me, I’m quarantined until Dec. 9. You know where I am.   #1 Paul (Last week #1) Paul only scored the 4th highest amount of team points this week. This is the scoring week that his fellow playoff contenders want to see. Good. But not great. Paul is going to have to land on on a lineup. Does Montgomery sit? Is Thomas a must start without a passing QB at the helm in New Orleans?? Make no mistake. Wilson didn’t have to do much versus the Eagles. Rest up buddy. Phipps is going to need you. Too much talent, had an off week and still won, this team is still the best in the league.  #2 Chad (Last week #4) You can’t score 200 points and not move up. 200 point...

Welcome to Triple Crown Fantasy Sports

A bunch of us have been playing fantasy sports together for damn near the past decade. I sent out a survey back in the fall just to make sure everyone is still having fun - seems like we are. I'm ready to take it all to the next level. Paul has always referred to the leagues that I started - Rebound League for basketball, the Epic X for football, and the Senior Circuit League (SCL) for baseball - as the "Josh Leagues." I get it, but it's time for something more official. Welcome to Triple Crown Fantasy Sports. Moving forward, this site will be the place where I post weekly league recaps, news, updates, and maybe even start writing more. Here's the other thing we are launching today: The Triple Crown Fantasy Sports Hall of Fame. I've been looking for more/better ways to incentivize everyone who plays in any of our leagues. Hell, I've been looking for new ways to incentivize myself. Essentially there are 4 stats we're looking at to gain H...
