Triple Crown Fantasy Sports

The Dirty South Devil Dogs held on to win one of the closest championship matchups in SCL history, claiming the tile over the Springfield Isotopes, 452 to 447. Adalberto Mondesi was named the championship MVP after posting 44 points during the title game with scores of 7, 10, 8, 8, and 7 over the final five days. Trevor Bauer added 36 points on three days rest and Famber Valdez added 29 of his own. In what will always be remembered as a coronavirus-shortened season, the SCL was able to fit in a seven game suicide slate of games. The playoffs were also truncated to only one week each as well. Paul got his DSDD off to a blazing 5-0 start before cratering the final two weeks of the season (and hit rock bottom by not even 300 fantasy points in Week 7).  Turns out they were saving their best for last as they were able to get revenge on Chris for passing them for the division crown and then had to go to the very end of the Sunday games vs Dan to claim their 2nd title in the past three se...

The legend of the LottoSouth dynasty continues to grow as the WildCats won the 2020 Rebound League basketball title. This is Kevin's 5th overall Rebound crown and 3rd in the last 4 seasons.  Definitely no asterisk on this championship but it has to be noted that this title was awarded - rather than outright won - this year, due to our fantasy season being cut short due to the coronavirus outbreak on planet earth. Covid or not, Kev was a legit contender as he was up 1554 to 1413 over Father Phil when the season came to a halt (Paul was up 1436 to 1295 over Josh in the other semifinal).  This was Kevin's 8th Triple Crown title - and that's of particular great importance, as he breaks out of the tie with Josh at 7 and moves into first place all by himself. This was also his 13th division crown. The WildCats were led this season by Anthony Davis (48 fantasy points per game) and Nikola Jokic (41 fppg) and were just well balanced all around.
