Epic X Reactivated

Nice little surprise today as ESPN reactivated the Epic X. Somehow this will be the 14th season of this league.

NOTES:
- I have made all of our draft pick trades. Please verify that you have the correct picks in the correct rounds and let me know of any discrepancies.

- I have set the draft for Saturday, July 11 at 6pm MST and the keeper deadline for Thursday, July 9 at 8pm MST. Once again - everyone is invited to come out for the draft. We will be golfing the Evergreen golf course on Saturday morning and then going across the interstate to Ameristar resort and casino for the draft and to gamble. Come for the golf, leave for the gambling or vice versa. I'm planning to get a room and stay the night up there but come for whatever works for you. I would just love to have everyone together for the draft.

- We will discuss any new rules for the 2020 season at the draft while we're together. We will also unveil Chris' new Imo team name and logo.

- Since ESPN got rid of our digital trophies and banners, last year we started a new tradition of letting the reigning division winners name the Divisions for the upcoming season. Kevin and I talked about it and his is going to be the "Tommy Boy Division" and mine is going to be the "Billy Madison Division."

- Speaking of divisions - I made our first realignment change in yearrrrrrrs by swapping Chris and Isai. Chris and I have our annual Week 1 matchup but it limits my schedule generator by having us in opposite divisions, so it feels like we all inevitably play the same schedule over and over. Sai and Chris have almost identical records in "Epic As We Know It" so it didn't seem like an overt advantage/disadvantage to them or anyone in their new/old division.

- I have also updated our league schedule. Week 1 matchups feature:

TOMMY BOY DIVISION
Jonathan vs Frankie
Paul vs Kevin

BILLY MADISION DIVISON
Chad vs Ian
Josh vs Chris

INTERLEAGUE GAME
Tyler vs Isai

- The trade deadline this year will be Wednesday, Nov 11.

- Just like this time last year, you will notice that we don't have any players on our rosters currently. This is because we don't keep our Keepers through ESPN anymore (since we "keep" them in Rounds 3 and 4 of the draft). To track who owns who, go to the "Rosters" tab on the shared spreadsheet, where I have listed our best and most likely keepers on that page.

Think that's it for now. The league is live! If there are any trades before our draft, please swap the picks on the ESPN site and/or update the players on the "Rosters" tab.

Epic X Week 10 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley 1. Ian (Last week #1) Chooooo chooooo! All aboard. This train keeps on rolling. The highest scoring team in the league this week. Other teams have gone "all in" to win in years past, but this may be the best we have seen in recent years. Ian was at a crossroads. Throwing caution to the wind he was one of the first teams to "buy" to try and make a run. And boy is he running. The questionable starting of Tua over Ben didn't even matter (-21 points). The McCaffery injury didn't matter (will he get healthy in time for the Epic X playoffs?). Ekeler is still on IR and no Chargers running back has grabbed that role. He will be a beast when he returns. Julio Jones and Jamison Crowder were on bye weeks. It didn't matter. Even with the lucky Valdes-Scantling pickup (30 points), take that away, he still wins this week. Ian is deep and talented. This is the clear cut #1 team in the league this year and it's going to be hard to knock him down from...

Season 1 of the Hand Sanitizer Fantasy Hockey League

Even though there has been 3 seasons of the Hand Sanitizer fantasy hockey league so far, 2021 will be it's first as an official Triple Crown League. Hall of Fame WILL count towards winning percentage, division champions and league champions. Incredibly, out of all of our fantasy leagues, this is the first that will consist of 12 teams (three divisions of four teams each). Very impressed with the interest and turnout for a startup hockey league. Epic X Week 12 Power Rankings

By Kevin Turley Note: These rankings are being released late this week because A: there is a game being played right now. On a Wednesday afternoon. Crazy. B: On Sunday I got sick and tested positive for COVID. It’s been like the flu for me. Life and work have been a lot to navigate - but I am feeling better today. If you need me, I’m quarantined until Dec. 9. You know where I am.   #1 Paul (Last week #1) Paul only scored the 4th highest amount of team points this week. This is the scoring week that his fellow playoff contenders want to see. Good. But not great. Paul is going to have to land on on a lineup. Does Montgomery sit? Is Thomas a must start without a passing QB at the helm in New Orleans?? Make no mistake. Wilson didn’t have to do much versus the Eagles. Rest up buddy. Phipps is going to need you. Too much talent, had an off week and still won, this team is still the best in the league.  #2 Chad (Last week #4) You can’t score 200 points and not move up. 200 point...
